immunity mocktail

Once upon a time, I absolutely loved beer. Given my European background, no surprise there, right? Over the years, I reduced my intake of alcohol and noticed significant improvements in my athletic performance, skin, period, sleep, digestion, gut health, hair, and hormone health. Again, given the research that has been done on the effect of alcohol on your body (no amount of alcohol is actually good for you), no surprise there.

BUT, this post is not about shaming anyone and I actually still drink a glass of champagne or a margarita once in a while. Mocktails, however, are much more my jam these days. Instead of drinking empty calories, I wanted to make sure these mocktails were functional and hormone health forward.

The hibiscus tea in the hormone harmony tea is packed with antioxidants and helps boost liver health as well, which is especially useful right before your period, when your liver is busy processing hormones and plays a role in removing excess estrogen.

Pomegranate juice provides an excellent dose of antioxidants as well and is rich in vitamins E, K, and magnesium, which most of us are deficient in.

Maca may help with fertility, postmenopausal symptoms, period discomfort, and mood.

Apple cider vinegar helps with preventing large blood sugar spikes and is linked to soothing the gut and stomach and helping promote weight loss as well.

Turmeric and ginger are your star anti-inflammatory players that help heal the gut and soothe your stomach as well. The black pepper in the immunity shots helps activate the turmeric.

So, with all that in mind, here are the BEST holiday mocktails for your next soirée…or whenever!
