About six years ago, I wasn’t aware of the inflammation my body was carrying until I woke up with joint and back pain every morning. Some light stretching helped me get rid of it, but I wanted to get to the root cause of inflammation, since it’s the also the root cause of and precursor to chronic disease. I researched the best anti-inflammatory ingredients and added them to this smoothie. The best part is that this smoothie doesn’t just have an amazing ingredient profile, but it’s actually GOOD! Here’s what’s in it:
- Turmeric – Often found in Asian cooking, but I get these in concentrated form to ensure that I’m actually getting a potent dose.
- Organic wild blueberries – Contain more antioxidants than regular blueberries, is lower in sugar than regular blueberries and also more nutrient dense, with higher levels of vitamin C, K, and manganese.
- Peanut butter blast blender bomb – Packed with antioxidants and inflammation fighting ingredients such as aloe vera, cacao, chia seeds, hemp seeds, bee pollen, and walnuts.
- Organic spinach or kale – for your daily dose of leafy greens.
- Tejari vanilla superfood protein – Plant-based protein that’s much more gentle on the gut compared to whey protein and packs a dose of gut-loving fiber in as well.
I love adding my personal gut health supporting ingredients to this smoothie as well:
- Ancient Nutrition collagen – The collagen in your body decreases by about 1% per year and accelerates as you ages. I love using this collagen since it’s heavy metal tested, compared to many others on the market.
- Dairy free colostrum – A great alternative to ARMRA, if you’re sensitive to dairy or don’t want to deal with the extra inflammation dairy can cause in the gut.
- Bio PC – My go-to for brain health and cellular repair. Also great for helping to remove heavy metals and toxins from your body.

Add all ingredients to your blender and blend, baby, blend! 🙂
Serve in a mason jar or tall glass with a straw. I often make this as an afternoon snack, but it’s great as a small meal as well.

Would love the tumeric brands please!!
Sure thing! My favorite is the Curcumin + C from Metabolic Maintenance. It’s 400 mg and I just open up the capsule and throw it into my blender! Let me know if you need a link.
